I am a Professor at the Faculty of Physical Sciences
at the University of Iceland.
In 2016 I moved from the Dark Cosmology Centre
at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen where I was a Marie Curie Fellow (2013-2016).
Previously, I had a joint postdoctoral
position at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and
the Department of Physics and Astronomy,
University of Waterloo (2010-2013).
My research interests are related broadly to two topics, the intrinsic nature of dark matter, and its impact on the
formation, evolution and properties of galaxies. To perform my research, I use a combination of analytical, statistical and numerical techniques, particularly, High-Performance Computing (HPC) simulations. For a recent review of the state of my research field, have a look at the paper I co-authored with Carlos Frenk.
